Blohm & Voss Bv 238

Post  The 16th Pilot on Fri Sep 09, 2011 7:43 pm

The Blohm & Voss BV 238 was a German flying boat designed in World War II. It was the heaviest aircraft ever flown when it first flew in 1944, and was the largest aircraft produced by any of the Axis powers in World War II.

Now that is some big flying boat. Wow, looks about like a ship with wings. Bet it could carry a lot.

Flying ships?

I agree. That does look just like a ship with wings. Laughing

I am amazed at all the creative aircraft that were produced during WWII. It seems that our level of technology really increased during that time. The radar was invented and perfected during that time as well...
