The Blohm & Voss BV 238 was a German flying boat designed in World War II. It was the heaviest aircraft ever flown when it first flew in 1944, and was the largest aircraft produced by any of the Axis powers in World War II.

I agree. That does look just like a ship with wings.
I am amazed at all the creative aircraft that were produced during WWII. It seems that our level of technology really increased during that time. The radar was invented and perfected during that time as well...
