Fairchild AFB

I think I found it!

Fairchild AFB is right near Spokane, WA. I found some info. showing that they did have a C-17 Globemaster III ...for a special operation called " Odyssey Dawn".

Here is a picture of it on the runway in Moses Lake, WA.




Now I am more confident that this is the plane I saw.

Another interesting thing...

While we were at the ranch for the first week in August, I saw another plane...but I could not identify it because it was too far away.

This is what I did see...the plane was VERY loud, but small, like some kind of fighter. It flew overhead and did a spin in the air...some kind of special maneuver.

Someone mentioned to me that Fairchild AFB uses that canyon to do training flights...?

I don't know if that is true or not, or how to verify it, but I think it is highly possible.

I'll keep my eyes and ears open for more...
