Messerschmitt Me 323

Post  The 16th Pilot on Wed Nov 30, 2011 5:14 pm

The Me 323 Gigant ("Giant") was a German military transport aircraft. It was a powered variant of the Me 321 military glider, and was the largest land-based transport aircraft of the war.
The Me 323 could carry 120-130 fully armed troops or 10–12 tonnes of equipment. It was over 30ft. tall, 92ft. long, with a 181ft. wingspan. It really was a giant!

Now that is one huge transport. I say the Germans were well ahead of their time in technological advancement.
